I’ve been thinking a lot about my future recently. Now that I’m more settled in the UK, I’m trying to make decisions about where my life is going and what my next adventure will be. Some of my goals are long term, some are achievable this year. Heck, some might not ever happen at all. I’m moving towards them all, though, and it’s one rollercoaster of a ride.
For five years I got to do the job that I dreamed of as a child – I worked seasons abroad as a holiday rep. Not many people can say they got the career of their dreams. I know how lucky I am, but it also makes it harder to move on. In my future I will find another career that I love just as much as repping, and that will give me the same fulfillment.
I will continue to develop my writing, and allow myself the time to stop, have a coffee and really write.
I will continue to travel and visit all the places that I want to visit. Every time I look at this photo, it reminds me that if I can make it to the Grand Canyon I can make it anywhere.
My future is plant-based. I’ve learnt so much about diet and health over the past 18 months, and I will pay that forward and show others the benefits of living plant-based so we can save our species.
I will continue to challenge myself and try new activities. By opening myself up to new experiences I gain more options and make many new friends.
The future brings uncertainty, but it also brings hope. My life could have taken many different paths. The one I took was determined by thousands of decisions I have made and others have made for me over the past 32 years. Whichever direction I head in next, you can be sure I’ll share the adventure with you.
